When Blizzard released patch 1.06 for Diablo II on April 19th 2001, they changed their Terms of Service. Those changes included allowing them to harvest certain data from players. This caused great concern among gamers in Germany and lead to Blizzard issuing a statement and updating their Terms of Service.
